The First Batch of Anti-epidemic Materials Donated by CSCEC Science and Industry Arrives at the Confucius Institute at the University of London

“CSCEC Science and Industry brings us the love and warmth of Chinese enterprises!” After receiving the masks, Dean Hou Yiling of the Confucius Institute at the University of London wrote in the letter of appreciation to China Construction Science and Industry Construction Limited (“CSCEC Science and Industry”). On March 10, the first batch of overseas anti-epidemic materials donated by West Steel Structure Co., Ltd. of CSCEC Science and Industry successfully arrived at the Confucius Institute at the University of London. After communication, these materials would be distributed to the faculty and students of the University of London via the Confucius Institute.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in China, overseas Confucius Institutes and partner institutions have organized donations and sent protective materials to China. In late January, the Confucius Institute at the University of London immediately organized a donation event after learning that West Steel Structure Co., Ltd. of CSCEC Science and Industry was looking for masks. Now as the epidemic is gradually curbed in China, the demand for masks roars at abroad.
In late February, having known that the Confucius Institute at the University of London was short of anti-epidemic materials through the Internet, employees of West Steel Structure Co., Ltd. of CSCEC Science and Industry volunteered to donate some. “I will give 5 masks”“I will give 10 ones”...In just one day, the employees donated 1,000 surgical masks.
Given the harsh epidemic situation abroad, West Steel Structure Co., Ltd. of CSCEC Science and Industry will actively approach Italian hospitals and schools via Confucius Institutes to donate anti-epidemic materials and join hands with overseas Chinese to fight against the epidemic.
